Description:
A project of Uptown Columbus, the nest was built at the base of the tower and finished in ten days. Upon completion, the nest was flown by crane for final placement atop the tower, only to have to be reshaped in place, as the crane lowered it in the wrong direction. The nest has a diameter of 20 feet.
Material:
Eastern red cedar, treated pine wood shell, North Carolina rhododendron and braided steel cable.
