Children’s Fountain at Woodruff Park

Description:
For years several community leaders envisioned having a water feature located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. In 2014, this vision became a reality. Located at the intersection of Bay Avenue and 10th Street, the interactive water feature has Thirty-two (32) LED-lighted spray jets that playfully bounce randomly while children run about.

Audio speakers, buried in the earthen berms that surround the water feature, add a playfulness and liveliness to the community amenity. Large boulders harvested from the nearby whitewater project are strategically placed around the fountain perimeter that provide a great place to sit as well as provide context.

Gary Gullatte and Will Barnes worked collaboratively in visioning creative water feature ideas for Woodruff Park. The final product is a result of this successful, collaborative effort.
